No we are not selling hard hats! Casa del Mar has employed a small force of sweaty but valiantly hardworking men, and a woman, in the sturdy head gear
doing good things to the resort in its extension and refurbishment programme (details of the programme can be viewed on the front page of our website).
Although some building sounds might be expected during such work it is pleasing to report that, so far, there has been little, if any, noise or
disruption. To ease the occasional saw scrape or drill whine, readers booking in the month of June, before the 7th, will benefit from a special

Re cycling in Langkawi

to cars or just freewheel along the hard packed sands of Cenang Beach at sunset.

Do try this at home.
We are constantly fielding questions about how this most decadent of desserts is made. This is probably one of the most talked about dishes on our menu.
If you have a sweet tooth then it is a must do.
Chocolate Soft Centre
(Serves 4)
170gm Butter
100gm Granulated Sugar
170 gm Dark chocolate
5 Eggs
50gm Flour
Mix together butter, sugar and chocolate in bowl in a water bath. Let cool, mix with eggs & flour. Put mix in individual moulds. Pre heat oven at
180°C. Bake in oven for 8 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Early Birds and Worms
Our site visitors may have noticed that we now have a facility called Pelican that allows you to book online and receive confirmation directly. Not only does it do this
but it also rewards early bookers taking rooms when demand is soft.
The way things are going at the moment the high season is being booked up earlier and earlier. If you are thinking of visiting Langkawi between December and March
