A Grand Old Lady Reborn
Capricorn was a rough cut diamond but is now buffed, polished and redefined as a graceful old lady of the sea. CDM is proud to announce the refurbishment of Capricorn 2, a 42-foot Grand Banks motor launch.

Now that she has had a minor face lift, Capricorn 2 is available for day charters to guests at CDM. With trips from two hours to full day luxury jaunts, there is an option for everyone, be it island hopping, a round Langkawi trip or even a champagne sunset cruise.

Good News for Spa Lovers
To Spa or not to Spa, this question has now become even more difficult to answer with the recently invigorated Spa Menu.

Focusing on traditional Malay techniques and treatments that have been handed down through the generations, this menu will tempt your body and satisfy your soul. Indulge in soothing massage with your choice of 5 oils, including the Langkawi blend of Pandan Leaf, Fragrant Lemongrass and healing Gamat or maybe treat your travel weary body with a Cenang wrap to relieve muscle soreness and fluid retention.

And it's not only your body that we can pamper. By popular requests, we have now introduced Manicures and Pedicures to our Spa Menu.

Spirit of Langkawi
Honey, turmeric, tamarind and sesame seed scrub, followed by Malaysian massage, infused flower bath, finishing with Frangipani lotion.

Romance is Alive & Kissing
You are invited to take part in a new and oh so romantic experience at CDM – our La Luna dining experience. First started on Valentine's Day this year, this exquisite evening was enjoyed by five special couples and is now available to all guests.

As the sunset casts its warm glow across Pantai Cenang, this romantic beach setting will be permeated with the sounds of 'live' piano music and lit by 100 candles and flares that will cast shadows over the sea.

A seven-course Degustation Menu will be served in a tasteful manner to allow you to truly enjoy each other's company, with no interruptions or distractions – apart from the food and wine. Available on Saturday nights and limited to two tables only.

What is your favorite thing about working here?
I really do enjoy our guests as they are very nice. I have made many friends from all over the world and I hope one day I can travel overseas to see how they live.
Where are you from originally?
I am from Johor Bahru (South of Malaysia)
Tell us about your family?
I have three brothers and two sisters. My parents live in Kuah and one of my brothers works at the Westin on a casual basis.
So how are you finding the staff quarters?
I am really enjoying the new improvements and it is much more comfortable and colorful with new furniture, paint and hot water systems. I am very lucky to live at the staff quarters now.
Tells about your hopes and future?
I hope I can work at Casa del Mar forever and have a good salary and service fees. I want Casa del Mar to be the best hotel in the world for our guests.

Meet the Team
A vital part of any hotel is the reception and reservations department, referred to as the Front Office. As one of our key staff recently left to travel the USA, we would now like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the new and revitalized team.

Headed up by Fauzi, who has previously worked for one of our sister properties, The Lakehouse Cameron Highlands, is a team of nine. They look after all reservations, guest services, car hire bookings, tour bookings, night audit, security, and of course arrivals and departures.
