Suite Dreams
Over the past month our Deluxe and Junior Suites have been getting some tender loving care with new lounges, mini bar cabinets and plasma screen televisions. Deluxe Suites now have a 37 inch plasma screen and the Junior Suites 32 inch plasma screen.

In addition, balconies are now fitted with hammocks and these rooms have been supplied with a few more surprises that you can find on your next holiday.

I'm tanned, so what can I do next?
With many of our guests wanting more information about Langkawi, we have developed a "To Do in Langkawi" brochure which is located on our website at http://www.casadelmar-langkawi.com/locate.htm . This brochure takes you from tours to day trips and from indoor activities to outdoor fun but don't worry if you don't have time to look before you come as we have also provided a copy in your room for you when you arrive!

We also understand the need to work on your tan, so when you are planning your trip please remember to leave plenty of days for relaxing on the beach.

Haffiz, is that glass on fire?
CDM's barman, Haffiz, recently entered the Langkawi Cocktail competition. With the some intense training and tasting with selected guests and then a major support crew and cheer leaders on the night from CDM, Haffiz put on a fantastic show. Whilst we did not get through to the final, our loyal guests felt that Haffiz was the winner and yes….we did have the best guest support crew hands down.

Ingredients: 15mls Drambuie flamed and caramelize sugar around the edge of a large martini glass, muddle 3 Pandan Leaf, 50g of Lemongrass in a shaker, add 30mls of 42 Below Vodka, 2 scoopes of ice and shake with a big smile. Strain into glass over Drambuie and top with very cold Sparkling Wine.

Do you feel like watching grass grow?
Not the sort of line that is a party starter, though there are plans afoot of the green fingered type at Casa del Mar. Never content to let the grass grow under our feet, pardon the pun, we have started a project to provide you with luscious, soft and very green grass. As you read we are in the process of growing this said grass, ready for transplant under your sun lounger.

We plan to do this about 10 meters at a time replacing the paving as we go, purchasing new outdoor furniture, and adding a water feature or two. Whilst it will be as slow as watching grass grow, this will allow for enough peace and quiet on your next holiday.

Earth Wind & Fire at Casa del Mar

Being the early birds we are we here at your home by the sea, we have already organised your New Years Eve for you. We are hosting an Earth Wind and Fire Party for your pleasure.
The Evening will be themed around these elements so expect some hot, breezy and grounded entertainment served alongside a 7 course degustation menu.
Be prepared to launch yourself into the night with attire to suits the elements of Earth, Wind or Fire. (Think Earth Mother – Hippy, Wind Gauzy-angel-Breezy & Fire Devil– Fun)
