Closet Mixologists shake!
Returning for an afternoon shower after a hectic day on the sunbed you may notice some extra clutter on the tv cabinet.

In addition to a fully primed ice bucket, will be the recipe of a well researched cocktail, its ingredients and a small but perfectly formed shaker. Each afternoon a different drink recipe can be shaken and stirred with a twist of del mar, splash of seaview and best enjoyed when garnished with a sunset.

Banging for a better Casa
Compiled feedback on guest comment forms has resulted in the installation of full length mirrors. Further improvements this year will include new teak dressing tables, extra drawer space and a special plug for the hair dryer.

Jack Hammer and his mates have booked the place out between April 26th and May 12th 2007. Good thing really as there will be an awful racket when they retile the pool, add landscaping, a fresh coat of paint and a few other little surprises…well you'll just have to come and see yourself. If you have any burning issue you would like us and Jack to consider while he is here then please do let us know.

Don't Shoot the pianist
If you see a man standing on one leg, using the other to help play the piano and shouting "great balls of fire". Please let us know and we will have him removed (it's not really Mr Lewis) and firearms will not be required.

MZ, on the other hand, is the original Casa del Mar "Piano Man" and needs no circus acts to impress. He returns after 3 years on December 1st to take our resident upright out of retirement and fill the warm evenings with music accompanying cocktails, dinner and supper.

"The Smiths" were perhaps a little harsh in this suggestion. However it is true that one man's Bach is another's Blondie; can't please everyone.

AT the moment we play. Morning - light classics; Lunch and afternoon - world, latin and jazz; Cocktail hour - contemporary lounge/chillout; Dinner - classic lounge.
